The NIX chair keeps making us proud. After having been recognized a few months ago with the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2018 in the United States, NIX has added the Red Dot Award 2019 to its list of accolades.

This prize, awarded to Patrick Norguet’s design in the Product Design Category, is yet another recognition for the technical and aesthetic innovation and traditional production techniques of this line of furniture.

The Red Dot Award is one of the most important design awards in the world. Created in 1955, these awards recognise the quality and innovation of designers and manufacturers in the creation of new products.

The GOOD DESIGN AWARD, granted by The Chicago Athenaeum International Museum of Architecture and Design, has recognised for the past seven decades the best examples of design at all levels and last year distinguished the innovative vocation of the design of NIX, which combines the use of solid wood with curved plywood 3D spherical geometry.

NIX’s organic and functional shape adapts to both residential and public spaces, whether in hotels and restaurants, museum and exhibition spaces or work environments, among others. Versatile and elegant, the quality and precision of the manufacturing and assembly process give NIX an essential and very expressive personality and a contemporary architecture, with different finishes and colours.

Thanks to the technique of curved 3D spherical geometry, the limits of traditional curved plywood have been overcome, making it possible to extend the field of geometries and give free rein to the designer’s creativity.
